*Minimum stay of 2 NIGHTS. We unfortunately do not accommodate short stays. We do not do change of bedding every day due to water shortages. Therefore the 2-night minimum stay policy.
This Fully Equipped spacious, Self-catering cottage is hidden away from main tar roads & neighbouring farmers’ dwellings. You will however see the old farm house. Surrounded with a 360 view of untouched nature. God’s creation at it’s best.
Nitty Gritty Details:
Check-in & out-times: You need to please let us know what time you’ll be arriving in advance.
The entrance to the property is closed and locked between 20:00 and 06:30
You may Check in between 14:00 and 19:00.
Check-out is between 6:00 and 10:00.
Cleaning Service: The Cottage will not be serviced daily – if you need something or want to communicate with us, please use the Farm Chanel for the Radio in the unit. Otherwise – WhatsApp us. You are also welcome to walk to the office to have a chat with us or purchase more PPS goodies.
Where:
Genade Grond is situated 27 km South of the neat and picturesque town of Springbok, Namaqualand, Northern Cape.
14km Tar Road. Turn RT at the Hondeklipbaai dirt road and continue 13km. You will reach the main Farm Gate situated on your RT hand. Stone wall with wood dropper gate.
How Many People:
This unit Sleeps FOUR (2 Adults 2 children)
Children of all ages are welcome.
We do not provide a crib – you will have to bring your own.
Sleeping Areas:
Bedroom 1: Spacious Main Bedroom with Queen Size bed, leather Sofa and coffee table.
Sleep Area 1: 2 Single Beds in front room area.
Heating:
Gas Heater (Use ONLY when you are indoors and NOT during sleep hours)
Each bed has it’s own Hot Water Bottle – please use them.
Cooling:
Mainly Summer months – Floor Fan. Windows with Gauze – please keep only these open at night to keep critters away and cool breeze in.
Loadshedding:
Zero/Nada/Nope/None! We are 100% OFF Grid with water supply as well as Electricity.
Water:
Delicious pure and clean borehole water – please feel free to drink from the taps. We also use a rainwater tank for the plants.
Electricity:
We use SOLAR power and therefore ask of each guest to use power sparingly and wisely – especially when it is cloudy/raining. If electrical items are used (kettles/hairdryers/other machines) when the batteries are already low – you will not have any power until the next sunshine day. Switch OFF lights where not needed please.
Linnen:
We only use pure cotton Linnen. Brushed Cotton during the winter (when we can) No Nasty plastic Polyester. Extra blankets and pillows are available on request.
Bathroom:
Walk-in shower and toilet with double ply toilet paper. We supply Cotton Bath Sheets and Hand/Hair towels. We also supply a Pure Primal Skin Tallow Shower & Hair Bar and Body cream. NB – we use a septic tank system and ask that you do not flush anything else apart from toilet paper.
Kitchen:
Fully equipped. We intentionally omitted an oven due to electricity usage.
4 Plate Gass Hobb, Microwave, Full size Fridge/Freezer. Percolator provided – just bring your own ground coffee.
Living and Dining area:
Equipped for 4 people to dine and relax. All cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils provided that you might need.
WIFI:
Yes. Not very fast but you will be able to communicate, send emails etc..The password will be provided at the cottage.
Braai/BBQ & Wood:
Lovely spacious enclosed built-in Braai with dining table and lounge area. A lovely view with glass stack-doors from this braai room. All Braai utensils provided and wood can be purchased at farm. NB – a TIN is provided under the braai area for the ashes. As well as cigarette disposal.
Fire extinguishers:
Each cottage will have a serviced Fire Extinguisher in case of emergency. Standard instructions will be provided nearby the unit.
Parking:
Very safe and secure, covered parking bay at your cottage.
Hiking Trails:
The whole farm is open for walks – as long as you tread carefully not to harm the eco system. 360 views of undisturbed nature.
Communicating with Farm Office:
We have a Farm Chanel for the Radio in the unit. Otherwise – WhatsApp us. You are also welcome to walk to the office to have a chat with us or purchase more PPS goodies.

Rates:
R995/night for 2 Adults
R1990 for the 2 nights minimum stay
Children over the age of 12 will classify as an adult.
0-2 years old stay free.
2-12 years old R400/night/child
R800 for the 2 nights minimum stay per child
Deposits:
50% Deposit with the balance due 10 days prior to arrival.
Proof of Payment required within 12 hours of booking. Full payment will be required if the booking is made within 7 days of arrival.
Cancellation:
Charges of 25% of the total price for cancellations between 20 & 25 days before arrival, and 50% for cancellations between 3 and 19 days before arrival. 100% for cancellations within 0 & 2 days of arrival.
Special Offers:
15% Discount for stays 6 days or longer.
