It is important to know that most essential oils are photosensitive, which means sensitive to sunlight. When these oils are applied to the skin in sunscreen, they can cause a rash or burn when exposed to sunlight. That is why we use oils and extracts that works very well with sun exposure and sun protection and actually contribute to the approximate SPF of 15-20.
Red Raspberry Seed Oil has a natural SPF of 28-50 AND, because it is loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and essential fatty acids, it not only protects your skin from harmful rays, but it actually nourishes, fights aging and heals the skin. Plus, red raspberry seed oil not only offers sun protection, but any free radicals that invade your body can be neutralized by the high anti-oxidant levels of the ingredients found in Sun Serum.
Carrot Seed Oil has a natural SPF of between 38 and 40 as well as antiseptic properties which helps prevent and heal infection. Carrot Seed Essential Oil also helps with skin irritation and helps to rejuvenate the skin. Frankincense Essential Oil – Protects skin cells and reduce possible sun damage & signs of ageing, a perfect sun oil.
Lavender soothes pain, prevents bacterial infection, aids in scar-free healing, and has soothing, calming and restorative properties. Lavender Essential Oil has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and antifungal properties. It is commonly used to speed up the healing process of wounds, cuts, burns, and sunburns because it improves the formation of scar tissues.
