What are Huguenot Bastille Bath Bars?

The combination of Tallow and Olive Oil makes for a soap of choice when it comes gentle cleansing and nourshing for ALL AGES and ALL SKIN TYPES including soft baby skin, sensitive and eczema prone skins.
The tallow (African) compliments the olive oil (traditionally European) beautifully and thus our renaming “HUGUENOT “ embracing our heritage.

HUGUENOT – UNSCENTED BASTILLE  – No scent with a small amount added activated charcoal.
This hypoallergenic bar is the go-to for sensitive skin and eczema relief.  Ideal for people who are sensitive for Essential/Aroma Oils.
Suitable for the whole family.
Use as a hair and body bar for babies with very sensitive skin /scalp.

HUGUENOT – LAVENDER BASTILLE  – As above, just minus the charcoal and added Lavender essential oil & botanicals.
Soothing, gentle and calming.
Lavender essential oil is antibacterial and also known to assist with would healing.

HUGUENOT BASTILLE : LIMITED EDITIONS – Same base, just with other aroma essential oils.  Available for a limited time only.

From time to time we have ‘under weight’ (less than 140g) soaps available. These are wrapped and at a reduced price that the standard boxed soaps.

Pure Primal Skin Face & Bath Bar Properties:

All the Pure Primal Skin soaps are hand poured and cut, then cured for 4-5 weeks, before being individually packaged.

Being naturally cured and non-glycerin soaps, they will lose moisture over time.
This means they will weigh less than the initially weight (120-130g / 140-150g / or weight as indicated) as they ‘age’/cure further.
There is a benefit to this!
These soaps will last longer while using than soaps that are freshly cured (or contain glycerin, which prevents moisture loss).

These soaps have stood the test of time over the years and the recipes hardly changed during this time.
