Family Ointment PLUS – Colostrum Enriched
We took the tried and trusted tallow based Pure Primal Skin Family Ointment and enriched it with Colostrum creating a Burn and Wound Care Ointment suitable for All Skin Types and the Whole Family!
It is well known that Colostrum contains Immunoglobulins providing immune support.
It also has surprising benefits for skin health!
It contains Hyaluronic Acid (Hyaluronan), Lactoferrin, Growth Factors (cytokines) and Telomerase Enzyme – these components are shown to improve skin hydration, skin health, skin healing and cell regeneration.
Colostrum Benefits for Skin Health:
- Growth Factors (cytokines): Colostrum is rich in growth factors (like EGF and IGF-1) that stimulate fibroblast activity and collagen production. They accelerate wound closure, promoting tissue regeneration, reducing scarring, and improving overall skin health through processes like increasing cell proliferation, migration, and collagen production. This tallow based ointment will melt and absorb easily to nourish and repair skin! Using only the purist, nutrient dense tallow and selected hypoallergenic Low PUFA oils, this gentle creamy body butter is an effective healing “skin food” that is suitable for ALL skins.

After wound closure/burn repair continue use of Family Ointment PLUS to minimise skin scaring.
Thereafter can switch to the standard Family Ointment – Unscented Skin Butter.

Alternatively, use the Pure Primal Skin Bath & Shower Silk – Unscented Version to wash skin with before applying the standard Family Ointment.
True free range and grass fed animals will yield fat that differs from season to season due to weather conditions and the available vegetation in the pastures they graze on.
The smell of this product will differ from batch to batch and from season to season due to this, i.e. the tallow (fat) smell might be more prominent in certain batches.
