Sun Away LANow – UVA & UVB Sun Protection Cream (SPF40+) –  NOW ‘creamier’ and with Lanolin!

Lanolin enriched, nourishing UVA & UVB Sun Protection Sunblock is made with all Natural SPF ingredients that are skin and environment friendly! 

Each of the reformulated Sun Away LANow ingredients naturally contributes to Sun Protection Factor (SPF) value – from our rom our certified Free Range Tallow to the Cocoa Powder with a SPF of 6-7.  

The NON nano Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide are known to be non-irritating for even the most sensitive of skins, making it suitable for all skin types and for people of all ages, while very effectively blocking/reflecting UVA and UVB sun rays.

To be an effective natural sunblock, the Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide content needs to be at least 35%, leaving a visible white residue on the skin to reflect the rays of the sun.

Sun Away LANow contains more than 35% = Effective Natural Sunblock!  (…leaves a visible WHITE residue on skin) 

NON Nano Zinc Oxide – NON NANO is the most preferred sun protection in the natural realm. It is stable in sunlight and due to being non nano, provides a greater UVA protection than nano oxides.  Zinc Oxide acts as a physical barrier against the sun, literally blocking it out and reflect rays.
The more Zinc Oxide in a product, the higher the SPF.   We have a high inclusion the NON Nano Zinc Oxide in Sun Away LANow for a higher SPF of 40-50.

NON Nano Titanium Dioxide – Provides broad-spectrum protection against UVB and short-wave UVA2 rays.  Similar to Zinc Oxide, the inclusion level determine the SPF.
We’ve added this to the Sun Away LANow for a higher SPF of 40+.

Besides the natural SPF provided by the selected components, most also provide moisturising, anti-inflammatory and skin repairing properties to Sun Away LANow. 

RAW Bees Wax forms a protective barrier and assists with not having to re-apply every time you have a swim. It soothes, moisturize, reduce inflammation and assist with healing skin ailments.

Added to the LANow (Tallow & Lanolin) base and alongside Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide, are Low PUFA Oils.
These Low PUFA oils have NO Photosensitivity and LOW Oxidative Values.

Coconut Oil is helpful for sun-exposed skin, particularly for its moisturising and potentially anti-inflammatory properties – help soothe sunburn and hydrate the skin. Specifically the Lauric acid in coconut oil have anti-inflammatory effects, potentially reducing redness and swelling associated with sunburn. Help with skin repair, especially after mild sun damage, due to its antimicrobial properties. Provides a natural SPF of 8-9.

Cold Pressed Macadamia Nut Oil – Protects against sun damage. Contains a natural sun protection factor (SPF) of 6-7. This makes it a great ingredient for natural sun protection and can be used in combination with other sun protection products.

MCT Oil – Remains liquid even at low temperatures, the perfect addition to help with the spreadability of the sunscreen, without leaving your skin feeling oily. Provides natural SPF of 7-8.

EVOO (Franschhoek/Local) – Extra Virgin Olive Oil keeps the skin hydrated and has a natural SPF of 7-8. Offers antioxidant and moisturising benefits for skin.

Hexane Free Cold Pressed Castor Oil – Castor oil’s SPF of 5-6 means it blocks approximately 85% of UV rays

Carrot Seed Oil – Contain beneficial compounds like beta-carotene and antioxidants for skin protection agains the sun. With its natural SPF properties and nourishing antioxidants, carrot sunscreen offers a gentle yet effective way to shield ourselves from the sun’s rays. Also helps with skin irritation and helps to rejuvenate the skin.

Frankincense Essential Oil – Protects skin cells and reduce possible sun damage & signs of ageing.

Sun Away LANow – UVA&UVB Sun Protection SPF40+ can be used in combination with ANY of the Pure Primal Skin Facial Moisturisers or any of the Pure Primal Skin Body Moisturisers.

Sun Away LITE – UVA&UVB Sun Protection SPF20+ is suggested for everyday use and leaves NO white residue on skin. 
The ‘old’ Sun Away was reformulated with Low PUFA oils and a lower percentage of NON nano Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide were added to this LITE version to provide an SPF of 20-25.
A non-irritating formulation for even the most sensitive of skins, making it suitable for all skin types and for people of all ages, while still effectively blocking/reflecting UVA and UVB sun rays for everyday use.
